What awaits Masaryk university in 2026
The year 2026 will be rich in events and exciting activities at Masaryk University for students, academics, and the general public alike. As early as Tuesday, 27 January, we will celebrate the 107th anniversary of the founding of the university, symbolically marking the beginning of another inspiring year.

Bioskop grows with new premises and more courses
The Bioskop science teaching centre at Masaryk University opened a new chapter last summer. It has moved into permanent and larger premises that will allow it to further develop young people’s interest in the natural and medical sciences.

President appointed new professors; ten were nominated by the MU scientific board
On 16 December, the President of the Republic, Petr Pavel, presented appointment decrees to 69 newly appointed professors at the Great Hall of the Carolinum.
